The season is almost here, and Ballet Palm Beach is kicking it off with Flash Ballet! The dance company, led by Artistic Director Colleen Smith, will dance flash mob style in locations throughout Palm Beach County on September 26th and 27th. “Flash Ballet is a way to bring the art of ballet to the people of our community in a fun and fresh way.” said Artistic Director Colleen Smith. It is also part of the ballet company’s community outreach program and mission of enriching the community with the beauty of ballet. The arts can be intimidating to some people. Flash Ballet brings ballet to people of all walks of life making the art form inclusive rather than exclusive.

Ballet Palm Beach celebrates its 14th season with classical and innovative works including Giselle, The Nutcracker, Simple Symphony and Other Works, and Wonderland. Their season begins Friday, October 24th and Sunday, October 26th with the romantic masterpiece, Giselle. Through stunning classical dance and music by Adolphe Adam, Giselle offers the promise of young love and the tragedy of it slipping away. Performances are at the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College. Tickets begin at $15 and can be purchased online at balletpalmbeach.org or at the Eissey Campus Theatre Box Office (561.207.5900) four weeks prior to a performance
